Wishing all of you a Happy Valentines Day!
This photo was submitted to the I Heart Faces photo challenge – www.iheartfaces.com

We got ourselves a hardcore player… foot above his head and everything.

This one makes my heart explode a little teeny bit. I love their feet. I wish I could keep them that small forever.

You don’t know how happy it makes me to have him actually WANT to sit next to her. We’ve come so far over the last couple of months..

Can I just say that I want to steal her pjs? They’re SO cute.

I got this jar from Sears (sears! of all places!) and I’m completely in love with it. I don’t know what I’ll use it for… probably nothing, I just wanted it because it was yellow and an owl. My two favorite things.

Landon has this new obsession with our broom (hey, not complaining) he thinks it’s the best toy ever and I have to hide it sometimes so he can experience other things. Otherwise I swear he’d spend his time in the kitchen all day sweeping. LOL

Yeah… it’s February and he’s wearing his Halloween costume outside. LOL He and his friends were playing some sort of zombie game and he hasn’t taken it off since. He wakes up every morning now wearing it trying to scare the crap out of us.

Never a dull moment..
Photo dump!!!!
These ones are from days 19 – 26. I don’t have time to update the blog everyday, as much as I would like to. I have been posting them on Facebook, but there are a few that don’t make it to Facebook (I still feel like I’m spamming my friends and family with all these pictures) So if you’re following both, you might see some new ones.

This is what Day 18 looked like.

Keegan is a goofy kid, like me. His laugh is often loud and forced and SUPER obnoxious. But once in a while, he’ll genuinely laugh HARD, the kind of laugh that makes your belly ache, and it makes me smile.

Thank god Landon likes trains. We spent a fortune on Keegan’s train collection when he was little. He was OBSESSED with trains. Thomas was practically part of the family. And then one day he just stopped playing with them. He started to like Transformers and other icky boy things! Lately though, Landon has been bustin’ out the train tracks and it makes me so happy to see someone using them again.

Sweet little Emma being all sweet and stuff.

Day 19 calls for a little tube sliding.
What a gloomy day. *sigh*
Elijah took his mom to Ikea yesterday for a shopping trip with her friends. If you let Elijah loose in a big store, he buys lots and lots of random stuff. Like extension cords, and light bulbs, and outlet covers, and whisks, and laptop tables (this one I approve of, thanks Elijah!). He also bought some organizers that are supposed to help clean up the clutter, when really, it fills our house with boxes and styrofoam and pages upon pages of instructions. Damn you Ikea and your “assembly may be required!”

Landon is helping Dad put together my new laptop table!
Emma is getting close to the 8 month mark and she’s teething like there’s no tomorrow. She spends most of her time eating whatever she can get her hands on, including her brother. Keegan was not amused.

Thumbs up for chocolate milk!

Rain, as much as I am grateful for your snow melting abilities, PLEASE go away so we can get outside tomorrow.
Signed,
Me.
Today is my mother in laws Birthday!

Happy Birthday Marylou! I hope you had a fantastic day. Everyday we are grateful to have you in our lives, and the kids are so very lucky to have you as a grandma!

I messed with the schedule..
…and then, something magical happened.

…..they had a moment
Thank GOD I had my camera nearby and was able to snap this one. This is typical behavior for Emma. She loves everybody. Landon on the other hand hasn’t always been Emma’s biggest fan. He’s 2 now, but he’s a young 2. He’s still very babyish in some ways and has a hard time accepting that there is another baby in this house that needs my attention sometimes. He’s not usually violent or mean towards her, he just usually keeps his distance. So today when I saw the two of them interacting like that, I burst out into tears and snapped a bajillion pictures.

Rise and shine mama!

Something about today felt like spring to me. There’s snow on the ground, so it’s definitely not the weather, but I went with the feeling anyway and did a little bit of SPRING CLEANING!
It’s true what they say “you don’t know what you have until you clean your room.” I was finding old things I haven’t seen in months. I’ll admit it. We have a storage problem. We’ve completely outgrown this house. To be honest, I didn’t expect to have 3 kids when we bought this house, and now we’re completely stuffed in here, desperate for some relief (It would be awesome if we could upgrade to a bigger house, but that will have to wait a few years!) So for now, we’ve been searching everywhere for storage and organization solutions. (Hello, Pinterest!)
I cleaned out Emma’s room today. Sorting her clothes and tucking away the ones that are now too small for her. Not gonna lie, I teared up over some of them. Remembering holding her as a newborn, and my first trip to the store where I could actually shop on the pink side and nearly bought everything I saw. It feels like just yesterday she was that little. I don’t want to end up on the next episode of Hoarders, so I did my best to throw some in the “donation” bin too. I went through some of Keegan’s old clothes too that will soon fit Landon. That scares the crap out of me. He’s getting really close to wearing clothes that don’t have the word “months” in it anymore. 2T terrifies me!
So because of the very sudden, but much needed cleaning spree. It left very little time for pictures. I did manage to snap one of each of them though.
Landon, shoving his banana into his mouth before anyone takes it away. (No one ever does, but he always eats fast as if someone will get to it before he will. LOL!)

I spent a good two hours in Emma’s room organizing and sorting through all of the junk we have. Thankfully I had good company to help pass the time.

Little ham!

And to end the day off right, we watched a little iCarly before bed. I can actually stand to watch that show. I kind of have a crush on Spencer.

Phew! Two weeks in already. Time really does fly.
I’m starting to feel a bit overwhelmed taking pictures inside everyday. I’m really excited for the nice weather to come back so that we can venture out to parks, fields etc for a little bit of fun. It was warm(ish) today despite all the snow, so I decided to risk it and brought the boys outside to play. The last time we went out in the snow, Landon HATED it. He didn’t want to sit, stand, ride in the sled, nothin. I don’t know what changed his mind, but he actually had some fun.
First though, our morning started off looking a little something like this. Bit of a grumpy start, but once he had his morning milk hit, we were all smiles from there.
My kids are really OCD about routines. When Landon wakes up he needs to find puppy (who is usually thrown out of his crib sometime in the middle of the night) get changed/cleaned up, play in his room for a couple of seconds, go downstairs, drink some milk, eat some oatmeal and cheese or yogurt or a banana (or all three), and after that he can function. If you try to mess with that schedule, you get the death stare from day one. It’s not pretty.
Like a good mommy, I followed the schedule.

This is Landon’s beloved Puppy (and some cute toe-toes, if I do say so myself) Keegan had his own “puppy” when he was younger, and Landon followed suit. He has a bajillion stuffed animals, but Puppy seemed to shine above the others.

Keegan wakes up and puts on jeans everyday. Apparently shirts are a nuisance. Yep, he’s a weirdo.

Ready for the cutest, most innocent face you’ve ever seen?

Can I keep her this small? Can I? Can I?!!
On a totally unrelated note, today would have been my Nanny’s Birthday. I only got a few short years to spend with her, but they are some of my favorite memories and I miss her every single day. Happy Birthday Nanny!!! I love you!

After many days of fog and rain we’ve finally got something a little prettier to look at, SNOW! It’s still foggy out, and we have to bundle the kids up extra warm at night, but it’s so preeeetttyyy to look at.
This is what my morning looks like:
Foggy windows and forcing Pablo to look at the snow.

Apple juice, warm sweaters (this one brings back memories. It used to be Keegans) and some good ol’ piano playin’.

Hubby was nice enough to grab me an iced cappuccino from Timmies before work. My hero!

Landon went back down for a nap, and minutes later I hear Miss Emma making her usual squealing sounds. She doesn’t cry much, only when she’s hungry. Which she soon realizes she is once we get her dressed and changed and come downstairs. I go into the kitchen to make her a bottle, and all hell breaks loose. lol. As soon as she’s fed she’s back to her regular squealy, happy self again.

OMNOM feet!! Girl will eat anything, seriously. She especially loves tags on blankets or anything else you give her. My iPhone case, your finger (ow), anything she can get her hands on really.

The day completely flew by. It actually startled me when Keegan walked through the door at 3:30. I’m not sure where the time went today. He helped me clean up, we listened to music, and then we took pictures before the sun completely set.

Hubby was supposed to be home at 6:30 tonight (so really 7 after the drive) but I guess things were so slow at work that he got sent home early. Not gonna complain about that! The boys are playing Xbox and relaxing now.
The babies will soon be up from their nap, we’ll eat, play, read, have baths and tire ourselves out before it’s bedtime again at 8:00 sharp.
I’m not really sure what inspired me to take on such a challenging task. Maybe it’s because I want to get the best use out of my camera, maybe it’s because I’m completely and utterly in love with my children and truly LOVE taking pictures of them. It’s probably a little bit of both, actually. Nonetheless, it’s an intimidating challenge. One that I’m not sure I’ll be able to complete, but I’m going to sure as hell try!
At first I started posting the pictures on Facebook. One of each child, Keegan, Landon and Emma. Once a day. For 365 days. That’s the goal, anyway. I’m 12 days in now, and decided to start blogging the pictures as well, since somedays there are more than just one picture I wanted to share.
Here they are so far:
Day 1:
Landon – This boy has so many different facial expressions and personalities. I know I am in for it when he grows up! I call this one “The Death Stare”
Emma – This little beauty is smiling at Landon, who is looking up at her wondering why she’s sitting in his highchair. She absolutely loves her brothers. You can see it on her little face!
Keegan – Ah, Keegan. My smart, sensitive, wonderful 6 year old. He’s way too grown up for his own good.
Day 2:
Landon – His 2nd Birthday party! It was really difficult snapping a picture of him with his cake. He tried to touch the candle and had a huge crying fit afterwards so this was the best I could get! LOL Once he realized the Backyardigans were on there he was all smiles again.
Emma – Brother is trying to cuddle and all she wants to do is eat him. OMNOM!
Keegan – Just being silly at my sisters house.
Day 3:
Landon – January 9th, his Birthday! Can’t believe he’s 2 years old. Ugh.
Emma – I don’t like this one as much. For some reason her headband is in focus and her face is blurry. Oops. I am learning though.
Keegan – Just before bed. We just read a book, and now he’s cuddling with his Webkinz Bat “Harry Potter” LOL.
Day 4:
Landon – This is such a fake smile, but it makes me laugh!
Emma – I don’t usually like B&W, but it works sometimes. I like this one.
Keegan – That’s my favorite owl hat!

There we have it! Every picture up until yesterday. Day 13 will be posted in a new post, since the pictures don’t exist yet. (It’s 8am and the kids aren’t even up yet)
